Hesston 1014 Conditioner

I cut 10 acres of hay with a Case T-10 mower and want to move up. A guy I know that has a Hesston 1014 conditioner for sale. I don't know what to look for as far as condition etc. or what to watch out for. Is this a decent machine? What would be a price range. Any comments would be GREAT!!!!! ! THANKS!!!!!

A case DC will not handle it as the 1014 needs 40 pto HP to run it and the DC only has max 25 pto hp

Several of us on the board have 1014's. Good machine. I don't know of any particular area to watch out for, but look for the usual. Condition of cutting components, chains , belts and condition of the rubber on the top conditioner roll. Any particular questions, post back.

If the auger is rusted thru, repair it NOW. It can twist up and you have a mess, as I am finding out. I love mine. All the parts are easy to get
