the cam that rides inside of the star shaped wheel at the back is staying up. push it down and see why its hung in the up position. turn the bailer over by hand until you get this problem fixed or you could be asking for more trouble. you need an owners guide to see where to lub all the places on this bailer or somebody who is familiar with one to go over it with you. if its like a 440 there is one behind the left tire that you'll miss. keep an eye on the bearings that the plunger glides on. there is a grease fitting in behind the rols of twine and be sure an always grease the one that you get to from the top that goes to the main block the knotters are mounted to, if its like a 440. keep the shear bolt tight on the flywheel. i always double nutted mine.

The cam is not returning to home after the needles cycle. Use some WD 45 and then shake the trip bar.
