I took apart the clutch and flywheel of my 532 Baler because last season, It disconnected too quickly under heavy loads.

The problem soon became obvious: one main disc was nothing but splinters, the other was kinda thin, and a little damaged.

I think I can throw it together with another disc from a parts baler and get this year's haying done, But I would really like to find another (Preferably new) set of clutch discs.

Is there another source for clutch discs? I am kinda hesitant to go to the Ford dealer because I heard parts for these balers is out of this world.

Thanks,

Chris

I don't recall that they were too bad, but it's a few years since I bought them. NewHolland is the quickest, easiest source. Otherwise, I'm sure you could match them up with some standard Weasler driveline stuff. It's no big deal...

Not sure on that exactly. Ours was about an '80. I'm guessing from the mid '70's up to around 80 or 81....

RodinNS thanks for the info, the reason I asked was my neighbor has an operator's manual for a 532 and 542 baler and asked me if I knew when they were made. Thanks again. Tom
