Stabilizer Bar Installation

Here is a view showing stabilizer bars attached to the pins. I choose to use pins ever-so-slightly longer than "standard" pins that usually come with kits. That gives just a bit of slack, or movement to reduce the possibility of binding as the hitch raises and lowers through it range of movement.

A picture is worth a thousand words. First pic is a general over-view of stabilizers installed on a Massey Ferguson 150. Very simular to your 35.

This picture shows the bracket. It mounts with the fender bolts. There is some forward/rearward adjustment via the slotted holes. Don't tighten the bolts until both sides are installed and in proper alignment.

Here is another view of the angle brackets. Note the multiple holes available to attach pins. Use the set of holes that directly align with pivot point of lower links (draft arms) so they pivot with each other.

Final shot. One last picture of the angle bracket. With everything in place, and fender bolts snug BUT NOT TIGHT, move the hitch up and down to let everything "settle" into a natural fit. Then tighten fender bolts. Make sure they're REAL tight or the stabilizer bars will apply enough pressure to make the fender bolts move a bit, loosening them.
