I have this old Allis haybine/MOCO and I need to figure out what model it is so I can get new belts and a few other parts. No place on this thing is a tag or numbers telling me what it is. I know its a 9 foot cut, has a single cylinder in the middle of the back to lift it up with, PTO drive is on the left side as your sitting on the tractor and the roller drive chains and reel drive is on the right hand side. Any ideas of what the model is??

For belts, I would stay away fomr the agco dealer, espescially if it's a double v-belt. Our NI haybine is supposed to have doubles on it but last year when I priced them out, the pair would have run over $100. I got 2 pairs of singles from the local distributer (Good Year belts) all for under $30. Runs great with those belts on there too, and now I don't have to remove the jackshaft just to replace the belts.

Well on this one of the belts is special and can only be found from AGCO cost isn't all that bad at $44-50. The other one is a 4 icnh wide belt with 4 Vs in it and to buy single belts would cost around $100 but to buy from AGCO its around $60. I now know what model it is since I ran the belt numbers yesterday with a dealer and its an 829 MOCO

AC made two nine-foot models. #390 made from 1972-1974, and the 904 from 1967-1973. 904 had a upper steel roll with a rubber lower roll. Looks like the lift cylinder is in the rear center. Don't know if the 390 was made the same. Decal with the model number would be on the right sidesheet that covers the drives.

Sheet metal is missing so thats why I don't have the number in need. This one has the steel roller on top and its not just a flat roller but it has groves in it if that makes a difference. So more then likely its the 904

Likely that there is a plate somewhere with a model and serial number. Bound to be covered with grease. The decal in my picture was just that- on a piece likely to be missing- I would expect a tag either on the hitch assembly or the cutting head assembly- like on a NH, or NI.

No tag any place on this thing. I've been over it from front to back top to bottom. For the most part I have been rebuilding this thing one part at a time. Just did the cutter bar last week and guards. Lubed and relubed every thing 2 or 3 times
