I run a small therapeutic riding school and we are putting up our own hay this year. I have the Allis chamler WD45 tractor, Allis Chamler sickle and Allis Chamler baler 302. I need some instruction on how to operate the Baler. In particular how to route the baling twin. Also any instructions for the 1953(I think) 80R sickle would sure be wonderful. I have the same equipment my dad used to bail hay when I was a kid. Any help to get a manual or pieces of a manual would sure be helpful.

Regarding the 80R cycle

Any information. We just oiled it up good and replace crazy wheel. Also a cutter guard. Changed three point hitch pins to fit our tractor. Now we are ready to test it and see if the blades go back and forth. Had to change the hydraulic fitting to work with our tractor also.
It looks like things can move.

AS for the Baler again any information.
Thanks for your help

I have a 442 (bigger brother)- no manula for it - I can check later today on twine routing and write more later - basically i run the twine from the twine box - through the holder s in the lid of the twine box - out the sode holes, through the tensionser - through the next guides - then put it through the needles and tie a knot to the frame - the ntrip the baler once and it will put the twine where it need so be in the knotters.
