Hi All , I just got back from the salvage yard and found a good 450 ( I think that's what the tag had on it ) 5 bottom semi-mount plow . I know there is a 4500 series , was this a forerunner or were there more numbers on the tag that I couldn't make out , it was pretty faded ? It had a large square backbone frame , probably 6" tube maybe more . The rear steer rod went straight down the frame centerline , the hydraulic cylinder was in the back with the lines running through the frame and it had a gauge wheel if that means anything . It was adjustable for cutting width it looked like with a ratchet near the front of the frame on the right side . It looked like it might have been missing something on the front of the frame in front of the first bottom but I don't know what it could be . All the coulters are on it . Did it have a good reputation whatever it is ( 450 or 4500 ) ? Thanks ...Randy

Hey Leroy , I know it is . But it would look better in my lot than in the salvage yard if it's in as good a shape as it looks . That is if the price is reasonable . ...Randy

probably a 1450, had one once pulled hitch out of it,that was a real common in those unit from what I FOUND OUT LATER

Hi Rick , yeah it could of had a 1 in front , all I saw was a couple zero's then 450 but it was real faded . I didn't measure it to see how big the bottoms were but I don't think my 1755 would pull it apart if it would pull it at all . I just want to keep it from being cut up if it's any good . ...Randy

No doupt it is a 1450. We had one. A 4-18 bottom. pulled it first with a 4230 then a 4240. As I recall it was a pretty good plow.
