AC rotobaler are selling for the price of scrap metal, and they were THE baler for years and years. Still a great baler, but some are pretty worn out so you will need to get a parts machine or two to keep one going long term. Your CA will do fine just don't overload the baler with a huge windrow.

Earth Tools in Owenton, Kentucky sells a CAEB baler, makes a 21"x23", 40-60lb bale. Made to fit a BCS walk-behind tractor.

The original rotobaler was made by Allis Chalmers, and Yes, A CA will pull it very well, you'll hardly know its there!

why not just pick up a good ole rotobaler? if you look in the ac forum you'll find both good and bad talk about them but they are the original round baler.

How mini are you talking? I have a Case-IH 8420 that makes a 39" wide by 54" tall bale that goes about 550-600lbs. Pretty good little machine really. I have seen a company somewhere that makes one that makes bales that are only about 50 or 60 lbs but if your gonna go that small ya just as well get you a good old square baler instead of spending like $6-7k for a new mini round baler, they are about useless in my opinion.

I have a allis chalmers CA. the engine is 23 hp. I don't think it would handle a regular size baler very well

You need a live PTO to run the Rotobaler (you need to stop the hay feed while continuing to roll the bale.). When they made them, back in the '50's, they were advertised to go with a WD-45. From the ad's I thought they were made as a team.
