I"m setting up a new bush hog (World International Agritech, Model #IM 500) and I need to verify which way the swivel tilts on top of the main A-Frame. The directions clearly says it should tilt towards the bush hog, but it sure seems like the swivel should tilt towards the tractor.

Any info would be appreciated.

Here is picture of my mower with chains for use on hillsides. Swivel just doesn't have enough give to it . You have to be carefull not to over do it .

I don't know about yours but on my Kingkutter it faces fwd . But is totaly worthless, If you live in hill country. as we do . I ended up using chains on brush hog in place of stablizer bars. those stabilzier bars are too restricive for hillside mowing . My neighbor bent my top link on 3 pt hitch trying to mow through ditch . Will send pictures if you will e-mail me your address mine is [email protected] .

Appreciate the info Oldmax. I turned it around to face forward and it worked just fine. The only reason that I hesitated is that the directions clearly stated 3 different times that it should face backwards.

...dumb directions.

I would call the company to tell them about it, but soon after I bought it they were in the process of changing hands and their phone numbers were not working.

...real good bush hog tho. It mows great.
