Wagner Loader- how to mount?

I have an old Wagner loader that supposedly was used with my Ford 650 tractor.

Here is a page with photos. The bucket is not shown in the pictures.

Questions- 1.What sort of bracket affair is required to mount the vertical plates to the fender mounting bolts on my rear axle.
2. How does this thing attach to the front of the tractor, and what takes up the enormous weight?
3. I know this is not going to be very effective with my tractor, and that is will be very hard to steer, but I'd like to get it usable anyway, at least to sell.

Thanks for your help!

More info...

The loader's tag says model number "H805-43". Serial number is 26679.

On the N-News archive page (Link) they mention manuals for WF3, WFD3, WM1, WM2, WM3, etc, but nothing like the model number I see.

Ideas?

Sure doesn't look like the Wagner for a Ford, unless someone modified it. Our Wagner had flat mounting plates on the back that bolted directly to the axle housing using longer fender bolts or removing the stabalizer brackets. These Wagners are good if they don't leak; they are built strong. Just put big tires on the front, it should steer ok. Good luck.

Leon, if you're havin' a rainy afternoon, type in "Wagner Loader" on this sites search and try to identify what model you have. Failing that, try under the rust on the unit. Tom(PA) told me about www.n-news.com for xeroxed copies of some info. They list half a dozen Wagner loaders in their Master Archives. (I had to use Alta-Vista to find n-news.) If I remember my weight and balance from Air Force days, I would guess only about a third of the weight is carried on the front plate. Most is back where the lift arms mount. Until someone can give you a little more definitive answer, hope this steers you in a productive direction.
P.S. Your pictures reminded me why I sold my 600.

Thanks for the suggestion to get the Wagner prints from the N-Newsletter.

I really love my old Ford. Works great, although the hydraulic lift cover has a follower that always wears out. But it is a very solid reliable tractor. Mine is pretty ugly- some bonehead former owner painted it wierd colors. Planning on redoing the sheet metal this spring.

What was it that caused you to sell yours?

It was a choice between selling the big ol' ugly thing or selling my sweet, adorable '48 8N. Short of selling the wife and keeping both the tractors....?? Seriously, I didn't have need of the backhoe but do need the disc. The 600 didn't have a three point, and with the jury rigged loader and backhoe, there was small chance of restoring it.

I just bought a 600 series, 640 with a loader. And have just identified mine. You have a Wagner WF3 loader. Check the manufacturers' plate located next to the control valve (not on it) the plate is about 2.5"x4. After seeing your pictures I am positive its a Wf3.

Thanks for identifying it. Curiously, the little plate says H805-43 and the sn is 26679

I wonder if the 4 is really a W? it is a little scuffed and hard to read...

If you have access to a digital camera, or a regular one and a scanner, I'd love to see a shot of the mounting to the rear axle. I have a good idea of what sort of bracket to make, but it would be interesting to see what the real deal looks like.
