root rake for a JD 450c

Does anyone have any tips for using a root rake for a JD 450C? I need to clear about 3 acres of land that has been stumped already. I have a root rake but have never used it. Will it pick up rocks too or do I need a york rake? How deep do I set the blade? How do I avoid piling up too much soil with the roots? Thanks.

just set the teeth to go as deep as you want by using the blade to push the teeth down while moving slowly. The blade should not be digging, only shoving what the teeth dig up.
