I have a neighbor that has a JD 5425 that has no flow control for the hydraulics. We are working on a Hoelscher bale system for him and it is too fast. Does any one know of a restrictorfor the lines that would reduce the flow????

third party image

Available with a micrometer control in a check valve arrangement. Sold by Burden's Surplus Center, Northern Tool, and Baum Hydrauics. Pictured here on my gas 4020.

What about the knob under the seat? I know that controls the speed of the 3pt but it may control all the hydraulics to.

The 5425 does not have any flow control at all. Even for the 3pt

They must have did away with it when they went to the electric controls. What you would probably need to do is just get a ball valve for hydraulics and put it in the line and just close it off until you get the right speed. I think the valves are only about 16 bucks.
