Was wondering if anyone can e-mail me basic set up diagrams and instructions to set up a #9 JD mower. I don't really want to buy a manual?

Can probably find a manual on online auctions like ebay or ads cheaper than JD.

What tractor are you trying to hook it up to?
In the back of the manual they show connections for different tractors. I could scan the page for your model. I probably could have winged the hook up with out an operator's manual but I would never have realized the lift spring was broken without something to compare to. And I wouldn't have know where the eccentric bearing was to set the primary lead. And I wouldn't have known there was supposed to be a bolt through it. And I wouldn't have know there was secondary lead to set. And I wouldn't have realized I was missing the inner sub shoe, etc, etc.

What do you need to know? There are two different styles of attaching brackets, depending on the size and shape of your 3 point hitch arms.Older and or smaller Deere tractor arms are square and the 3010 on up used a sort of round arm.The brakets are fastened to the lift arms with U bolts.

Adjust the center length to to the give you the raised height on the outer end of the cutter bar that you want.

I had a 9W mower for years and I loved it. Too bad I crossed that ditch wrong and broke the gearcase.Scrapped it.Now why didn't I think to keep those brackets?
