Does anyone know what size are the original tires for the rake? Also how do you check the gearbox for an oil level, do you take out the plug and fill it till it comes out the bottom of the plug hole or is there another plug for to check oil level that I am not seeing.Thanks in advance....Greg

The dealers have used grease for 20 plus years.

If you check with a dealer, oil was discontinued for those as it runs right out. Pack it 1/2 full or so with grease.

I ran 6.70 x 15 tires years ago, but you can vary the size each way a little bit. Don't remember about the oil check, but don't over fill it. I think the oil level was obvious. Good rake.

5.90 x 15 on the tires. I wouldn"t put oil in the gear box either. Take the cover off and pack it with a good bearing grease. It will last a long time with grease because it won"t leak out like the oil will. Good luck.
