I just got one of these that I want to restore. I can't find a model number but I can make out wetmore then half of the other word is "dilly". Does anyone have any books or manuals on one? Also it has a 3 or 4 inch 3 grove pully on it. Could I run this off an electric motor? Thanks for any help. Also looking for extra screens. It only came with one and the holes in it are about as big as a #2 pemcil. Thanks again

Found the Wetmore hammer mill info for you. "The Little Dilly" model was the smallest and could be powered by a 3,5,or 7 1/2 HP electric motor or 5-15 HP gas engine. Mid size hammer mill "The Glutton" was handled by 1-2 plow size tractors. Largest size "The Clipper" was handled by 2-4 plow size tractors. I don't have any screens or parts and the Clipper was the most popular size here at one time for grinding feed bundles. Once in a while you still see a Clipper or Glutton in this area but never see the smaller Dilly. Most are worn out and sitting in junk piles or have gone for scrap. The Clipper mill was still used on many later Wetmore / United Farm Tools feed mixer grinders so might could find parts thru a old dealer or Agco yet. Email me if you want a copy of the little 7 page operating instructions booklet. [email protected]

I had some info for the Wetmore grinders but lost it all off my old computer. Email me and I can dig up some more info for you later. Most of those were originally run off a belt pulley or PTO shaft but yes you can run them with a electric motor too. A 1950 I&T directory says there were 3 sizes of the Wetmore hammmer mill pulverizer made then. They had a 19 year reputation in 1950. I know the last Wetmore grinder mixer unit we bought in early 1990s was then part of United Farm Tools which was bought out later by Agco I believe. If I remember right thinking the Dilly model was smallest mill. They were made by Wetmore Pulverizer & Machinery Co., Tonkawa, Oklahoma.
