I was wondering if any one knows what checkwire would cost if it were in good shape, because I offered a guy that is selling one on the John Deere forum, $75 dollars, is this not enough or is it good? Thanks.

You mean a spool of check wire? $75? He should be driving up your driveway right now, before you can back out of the deal. :)

Dad used to buy the stuff at auction sales - NOT for the wire, but for the spools that work with our electric fence wire winder.

Paid at most $5.00 for spool, and the wire was hauled away to be melted for a couple cents a lb.
