was thinking about bidding on a roto baler and an allcrop 60 combine at a auction coming up, but was wondering what their power requirements were??? an old timer told me a AC B/C should run both but am not sure...Thanks Shawn

Smallest I've run my All Crop 72 Combine is with a 1952 John Deere B. It pulls & operates it fine, but without having "live pto" if it starts to choke up you have to pull out of the crop & hope it cleans it self out!!! My father always said years ago the best match he had ever used was their 60 All Crop & a Farmall M. Just the right amount of power & speed.

I have a model 66 All-Crop that I use with my '50 Deere B (27hp). Third gear (3.5 mph) in 40 bushel wheat is no problem. I would imagine that the baler uses less power than the combine but I don't know that for sure.

I use a '55 to35 to run my roto-baler. I believe it is rated at 32 hp new.

The 60 All-Crop and Rotobaler were matched to the WC & WD size tractors, not the B/C. The 40 All-crop was matched to a B/C. Mike

We ran an All-Crop Harvester with a '49 John Deere A (35 hp or so) and a '52 John Deere B (25 hp or so), and I've run a Roto-Baler with an early styled A-C WC, probably about the same HP.

Would you believe the roto baler and the all crop combine where both made for the B/C allis tractors. I've used a B before to pull a roto baler but not the 60 combine but as I said they where made to fit those tractors

I have seen them run with both B and C but, I know of a WD that pulled both of these type machines many many miles up and down hills in upstate NY. 22 to 27 HP should do the trick.
