All week I've been working on the tractor and plow getting ready for at least one plow day . Moved the tractor wheel spacing ( WHEW ! What a job to do alone ! ) , greased , put on new shins , tightened this and loosened that , aligned the front tires , changed oil and filter , topped off all other fluids that leak out almost faster than I can keep up with and filled with fuel . First plow day is tomorrow and I'm ready and excited ! Like a kid in a candy shop ! This will be my second time plowing and I've been offered the use of a 5 bottom for the 1755D instead of my 4 - 16 . I think I'll try it out . Thanks for listening !! ...Randy

Our 565 plow is 4 bottom and 16 or 18" bottoms. we bought the plow 4+ years ago for really cheap and I would really like to get it fixed, but have to save my pennies up for new coulters and a shin.

I hear you on the ready to plow. Next weekend my dad, sister and I are going out for the day. Been waiting for this since last spring :). Hoping to get parts for a semi mount 565 oliver plow and try to make our oliver 1850 snort a little.

Hi , That's what I have - a 565 4-16 . How many bottoms is yours ? If it's a four bottom your 1850 will just play around with it . I hit a wet spot with mine Saturday that made my 1755's front end come off the ground for a second and turn sideways a little . I have 470 lbs of weight on front which up to that point was plenty . I had a great time ! For parts I just use AGCO for everything on my plow because I have a dealer close by that seems to be able to get anything I need even if it's obsolete or discontinued . I'll have to make a trip to them again because I broke a share tip off on the third bottom today and I need to replace one last shin on the second bottom . Have a great time next weekend ! ...Randy

Boy, those plow parts can get expensive fomr a dealer... We ussually buy shares, shins, and landslides from Fleet Farm at a much better price and they seem to last just as long. The year before we upgraded to a 4 bottom 546 we put all new parts on our 565 for a little over $350. The only thing we got from Agco were the moldboards for that one.

The next year we got the 546 and it needed everything exept the moldboards. It had 4 instead of the 3 on our 565 but it still cost us over $300 at the Agco dealer. I snapped off a new raydex share right away too,(it even tripped, but still snappped the tip) but I happened to have a new one from Fleet Farm in the shop for it.

For the price, we'll go to Fleet farm. Don't know if you have one of those or a Farm & Fleet, or how much TSC asks for their wear parts but you should price it out once. May be surprised.

Hi Don , I tryed using shins from a Farm and Fleet store but with speedex moldboards they don't fit . I have a 20" top on the share which requires a 8" bottom on the shin . All I can get around here are 6" shins . You are very right about the cost for those 8" ones from Agco too . $43 each ! Compared to 9-12$ for the 6" shins . I think I used a F&F store share on the bottom I busted last year , I don't remember . Now I need another one . I busted the third bottom tip off and it tripped too . I tripped the third bottom 4-5 times Sunday before it snapped . I was starting to think the springs weren't tight enough on that bottom but I guess they are . The rocks just kept getting bigger .
