Side Roll Irrigation

What's a fair price to offer on an old but still working side roll system? Its about 300' long with 5 HP Briggs powering it. Wheels are 5' in diameter, pipe looks to be 4".

I'd be buying it from a widow so I want to be fair to both her and me.

In this country a 1280 ft (1/4 mile) wheeline with mover goes for a $3500-$4250 or about $2.75/foot to $3.32/footwith the mover. the pipes are 40 ft long if its say 320 ft that about $875-$1062. That's roughly speaking a $1000.

Here in the Flathead, a used one will cost you $3500, but that is for 1/4 mile 5 ft wheels and 4 inch line self leveling heads.

300' seems very short for a wheel line. I bought a 1/4 mi. one last year for about 1.00/foot. I had to get some new wheels and heads and then take it apart, haul and set up again but I thought that was a fair deal. A new 1/4 is probably around $8.00+/foot

If it's got the self-aligning nozzles, it ought to be worth a good $2500 anyway.
