Hi,

I'm one of those that usually just reads the forums for general knowledge and rarely posts, but I'd like your input on this: I have the iron scrap man delivering a trailer this weekend. Here's photos of some items I'm wondering might be better saved from the trailer and instead sold at scrap price to keep the history alive...

Please weigh-in with your opinion. Are there dealers for old machinery like this?

Are you just toying with us? That spreader will bring $500 if it's working. I'd feel real guilty if I scrapped any of that stuff.

The 2-PR Corn Picker looks in decent shape ?
Maybe go pick some corn with it. ;o]

I have seen a lot of 1-PR's, but only a couple of 2-PR's.

i'd try selling this stuff before cutting it up. lots of hobby farmers like me could make use of most of it. corn picker might make a parts machine for someone.

I agree with Vito. If the equipment is not costing you any money, list it for sale on this site.

You might even consider listing it on eBay.

You would be surprised how many of us check the salvage yards for used or useful equipment.

I have seen alot worse equipment on consignment at dealerships.

The corn picker would be the only thing I would scrap. It depends if the picker is still good condition and would work with some fixing.

Almost every thing I see there is worth keeping for what it was made for. Shoot if you where closer I would love to have the disc, but your to far away from me
