Case 8330 Haybine same as Hesston 1120?

Are these two machines really the same? I can buy Case parts quite a bit cheaper than what my local Hesston dealer has quoted me - specifically stub on stub guards. Comments? Thanks.

I can't say for sure, but I think prety much everything from case for hay&forage from the 80's and early 90's was Hesston. We've got a Hesston 1014+2 and that uses the same guards as Case machines. Even has a case hyd filter, but that don't say much....

I'd atleast buy a couple guards, but they should be the same. Another source you can try is sickleservice.com We got a new sickle, guards, and hold down clips form them last year and it ran us about $600. Total investment in the machine may be $1300 so far because we had to buy a new 11L-15 for one side, and we had another one laying around for the other side. Got it for $600 from a scrap man last year.
