Does anybody know what this is? It was made by Deere and may have been horse drawn.

I'd say whats left of a grain binder, although I'm not real familiar with horse drawn equipment?

What the others said, plus it has transport wheels to pull it sideways down the road. Tongue would attach to the near end, to use, you crank down the bull wheel until the transport wheels are above ground, then remove them and reattach the hitch in front.

Originally a ground driven grain binder. Looks like maybe the binding mechanism and some other parts have been removed, perhaps to use it for windrowing grain.

Looks like it used to be part of a grain binder . . .

If so, the wood and canvas parts are long since rotted away, and there may have been other parts scavenged as well.

My 2 worth.
