Preparing a field for seeding Alfalfa

I have plowed about a half an acre that I want to plant some alfalfa seed in as an experiment. I have a small David Bradley disk that I have a heavy piece of I beam sitting on it to break the turned sod. I also have an old spike harrow that I will use to help cover the seed after I spread it with a hand spreader. Is it enough to just disk up the soil or should I use some other implement to get the soil prepared for seeding?
I have though about getting a 6 foot tandem disk to pull behind the Super A or possibly a spring tooth to break it up a little better. Thoughts?

As said, work it up as well as you can. Thing about harrowing, do not bury the seed too deep. Get it as level as you can. It would be nice to have a packer or roller of some kind to establish firm ground. When you get your seed, don't forget to inoculate it. The inoculant is cheap and if you have the budget, put on twice or three times as much as reccommended. It won't hurt and is a huge help to establishing a decent stand.

Alfalfa is about the toughest seed bet to prepare for. It likes it firm, level, and firm. I would have plowed it last fall, and let the winter mellow the soil. Gonna be tough to level the lumps with spring plowing.
