International hay rake

I need some help identifying an old International hay rake that I found here on the farm. I know it's an International, and I know it's powered by one of its two wheels, and I know it originally had six "bars" between the two rotating "discs", and that it is pulled on the tractor's drawbar - but that's the most of what I know. Is there any good web site I can visit that would help me identify this thing? I would sorta like to see it working again. THANKS...

Fred: I'm assuming this is one of the rakes that has two automotive type wheels behind the raking cylinder, and the frame starts at those wheels, then up over the raking cylinder and back down to tractor hitch, right or wrong?

If I'm right, the first of this type IH rake came in the late 40s and they were still building them at the end of IH in 84. If I remember correctly the first models were 15 and 16, and I see the last one was 87. I expect there were other models in between. There were also some fast hitch and 3 point hitch rakes close in design other than the wheels were casters ad rake cylinder was driven by pto.

It wouldn't surprise me if there were 4-6 models of the trailer type over the years. If you could post a photo, someone will recognize it. IH buyers guides will probably be the best reference.

HUGH - that was MUCH MORE than I knew before. THANK YOU!! Yes, your description was accurate. The frame is as you described & the whole rake is driven by ONE of the automotive type wheels. I know this sounds sorta crazy, but this rake was owned by my wife's father & I would like to see it work again. NOW - how in the world do I post pictures??

Thanks for the reply, but other than the "international" logo that is painted on the frame I can see no other identification anywhere. The only other way I can think of to "ID" this thing is to swap photos & hope that maybe some of the "old timers" can tell me the model number - but thanks for your reply anyway.
