i found a ferguson two row planter for sale and was wanting to know if there are parts still available. model number look like DO-41 B. its hard to read. also is a five digit number: 23304. needs some work but looks like it's fixable. what drives these planters? there is a small sprocket on one side and a large sprocket that was just hanging on the top link. must attach to the tractor somehow? any info would help.

If you can't get an operator's manual with it, and want to use the planter, you are in for more grief than you can imagine.
And you will end up trying to find planter plates that are not worn out. Old records and parts for many old planters are no longer in existence. I suggest that if you want an old working 2 row, look around for JD or IHC, complete with a manual because those planters are more numerous. If you want it for a yard display, then it will be fine. Hope this doesn't upset you.

I dont know a lot about it but I have seen pictures of Ford N Series tractors with a huge sprocket on the inside of the rear wheel. I read somewhere that it would power an implement such as a planter, maybe that is what you have there.
