Great Plains Wheat Drill

Hi All -

We've got a 27' 3 pt mount Great Plains Solid Stand wheat drill we're overhauling.

On some of the disk openers, the "ears" (the small pipe stubs that the plastic bushing rides on and supports the bolt in the center) that hold the press wheel assembly have broken out or are worn past the bushing into the metal.

How can a guy best replace those?? It looks like the press wheel assembly was put together and welded into place over the ear hinges - preventing a person from welding new ones in...

Thanks for any advice on rebuilding these,
