I recently aquired a vermeer 605J,the previous owner removed the computer and rigged the unit to become a manual tie...works well..my question is,at what pressure should i set the air gauge to start bailing?

I have a K baler and if memory service me right I run around 60 PSI and which put the gauge in the blue or green area of the gauge.

You can get a free manual from vermeer if you call main office all you got to have is your serial number of baler.

Where in Texas are you, near Greenville here

Thanks a lot..I did not know that i could get a manual from them..that helps a lot..i live in Willis, south of Huntsville, aprox 60 miles north of Houston..Hows your hay looking? its been a warm and wet winter and spring for us..

Hay looking good so far, we just have ryegrass, clover and stuff like that now. I figure I am about 4 weeks away before I start baling anything maybe 6 weeks. Some people going to bale some wheat up and it looking good. Afraid hay may be short this year too, not sure what the droguht last couple years has done to out bermuda grasses.
I have really heard good things about those J balers. I been happy with mine had my K for one year, ran a F before that. If you have trouble finding number to call for your manual give me a shout. Took about 10 days for mine to arrive in mail.

Thanks again..we are about 2-3 weeks out as well..our bermuda grasses took a little hit,however our Tifton 85 just kept growing..I have been really pleased with the Tifton..I am afraid your right,my phone is already ringing with people trying to stock up on hay..
