Value of a 20ft. vibra shank?

Just wondering what you guys would pay for a 20' vibra shank. It seemed to be in decent condition, rusty but I didn't see anything obviously broken or busted when I did a quick once over on it.

I talked to a sales guy today, said they're looking for $1300. He thought it was a manual fold, but I could've swore it was a hydraulic fold. Could be wrong though, I spent a wopping 1 or 2 minutes looking at it before I went in to get the parts I needed.

Price seems reasonable, not sure when I'll have the time to go and talk and look at it better though, unless I go on thursday. I'll have to try to sell some of our other stuff at either the FFA consignment aucion in the same town as the dealer, or put it on the road. Kinda leaning towards the auction because it draws the right crowd and it'll be outa sight.

for that size way to high especially manual fold besides. couple hundered dollars at most in my area.

There is a 18 footer on the classifieds for 175.00, but its no hydraulic fold. I have not seen one of those either.

I've never seen a 20 foot unit with hydraulic fold- any make. One thing about the IH 45- when they age the shank mountings wear out and are impossible to tighten up to the frame- and I've seen many 18 foot units go for under $500. They used to be very popular here, but now they go cheap.

My 22 foot has brackets welded on it to make it hyd fold if I srounge up a 20 inch or so cylinder. I never bothered, as it stays home. Guess I could call it hyd fold tho, not from the factory.

Dealers ask $1200 around here. They sell at auction for $400 or so. Private sale, I got one for $600 with good shovels.

It will all depend on the shape of the shovels, good it's worth something, bad & it's scrap metal.

I sold a hydraulic wing 18 footer with usable but not new shovels for $150. That was probably a little cheap and steel is somewhat higher, but still $500-600 should be plenty. Even less for a manual fold. At least this is the situation around Central-Illinois. Nobody around here uses one that small and it is really outdated for trash clearance.

We finally took our old 20 foot 45 Vibrashank to the Peoria scrapyard. $155 per Ton.
