Woods Bros Corn Picker, Dearborn 2R Cultivator?

We found a collection of junk down in a creek bottom yesterday and was wondering if a Woods 1 row picker was worth anything or not. It appears to be pretty complete but is rusty. Also is there use for the Dearborn 2 row cultivators and what might a guy ask for these pieces?

Are there any Antique tractor shows in your area? I would think that some collector would want the picker. Went to a working show at Atkinson, Ill. last fall and there was a guy there with a Allis ca pulling a 1 row woods bros picker. Just hate to see the old machinery cut up for scrap, Its like burning old family photos. It just ain't right. Chris

Dad got a one row WB in the late 50s, and it shurely was from the late 40s. Rubber tires. It worked all right BUT, the little cross elevator on it would get corn down under the chains and bind it up. Dad finally made some wooden guides that kept the chain down, and it worked alright, But then, after 2 yrs of opening the rows for it, he got a 2 row #24 IHC 2 row picker for his 48 H and he didnt use the WB anymore. Finally got rid of it somehow. I remember it well tho. It was grey. Cant remember which side the picker was from the toungue tho. Seems like it might have ben on the left side.

The 2 row cultivator is worth about $200.00 to $250.00. I have one and it can be setup for a field cultivator or a 2 row cultivator. Mine has the shields also.

Can't tell what color it was, may need to take another look. We're in Central IL. I'd love to keep it around but scrap is high here. There are a few pieces in this pile that are worth keeping mostly not though.

Woods Bros pickers---can you tell if yours was gray or red? I have two of them one gray and one red. the red ones were the later ones. How far away are you guys from central Ia?

I have a old Woods corn picker that works damn thing goes around the field backwards. It has been parked since 1980 and I assume you couldn't give it away except to that danged ole junk man and he aint getting it.I assume ford collectors may be interestd in the cultivators and maybe even the corn picker.

I have two Wood Bros pickers. One was my dads and the other I got from a fellow that charged me a case of beer (that he insisted we open) and I had to remove the machine without needing his help. If its not been shedded the value around here is minimal.
