seem to be having a hard time finding 500 X 15 low profile tires for my old NI rake. Mine are in bad shape but still holding air. I know that I can go bigger but if I do it will mess with the bar rotation. NI used to have those small ag type tread tires on the rakes. Any of you fellows know who might handle those?

My neighbor borrowed my NH 256 rake last year and the dolly tires were getting pretty weak on them, so he went and found some of those tires that are made for spare tires in cars. Mounted them and they seem to work ok. Not sure how they work on the rake part itself. They are low profile.

Bigger will slow the rotation The circumfrence of
the larger tire will make the rake travel farther
for one revolution of the tire. Probrobly not enough to make much difference

I think Miller Tire still has them. www.millertire.com is the address if I remember correctly.

I just bought four of these tires from Tucker Tires. They shipped them to me with tubes for about $55.00 each. Their phone number is 1-888-248-7146. Ask for Mike or Larry. Good people to deal with!
