I have an old drag disc, that I believe is an oliver. It has a gear box on the front of it that has a chain running to the front gang. that has a clutch or sonething inside it. i believe it is to change the angle of cut for the disc.
2. Questions.
1. Is it anything special?
2. What is it worth?

Case made a disc with that setup. Most were made in the 40"s 6" to 8" cut. One sold on ebay last fall, $400+ . Look at the cast iorn pices there should be an old abe eagle on them.

are you sure its a disc harow? any way to post a picture? i don't understand what a gear box would be doig on a disk. i have seen some chain drives coming off of turning plows that drove a box to drop fertlize out of it as the turning plow was braking the ground. it think it was on a wheat land plow by jd. this makes me wonder what it is. can anybody explain it better for me.
