Got the spuds down last week of Feb and now doing getting ready to plant peppers and tomatoes on raised beds.

Lost the contact info I had for a fella that had one for sale here on YTMAG. So now I am thinking of buying a different used bedder/shaper for plastic mulch.

What to look for on one of these rigs beyond normal wear and tear etc. If this CSA pays out then maybe another tractor? Like an Oliver Super 88 :)

Thanks

Here's a picture of the Rain Flo machine that my co-worker has for making raised beds. I was mistaken on it being made by JD. Hal

One of the men that I had worked with has a truck farm and grows vegetables for sale at his road stand. He has a John Deere machine that will make those raised beds in one pass and it covers the bed with plastic at the same time. Hal

That is what I am thinking of doing. Tried raised beds past 2 yrs with good luck. I did not have pressed raised beds so it was a lot of work to maintain the beds (loose).

Press pans form a solid bed.

I can get the model number of his if you need it.
He has a big JD tractor hooked to this. One pass and you have your raised bed. Hal
