I've got an older model Kuhn GMD 66 that I blew a seal on the hydraulic cylinder at the end of last year. I called my dealer and he said they didn't make a kit to repair it, would have to order a new cylinder or find a shop to rebuild it. I'm in the heart of coal country and none of the hydraulic shops do anything metric, I played hell just getting a hose for the thing last year. Any suggestions?? Or am I gonna have to buy a new cylinder. I hate to cause I've only got about $1000 in the mower, its rough, but it cuts, which is all that matters to me.

I would think if you took the cylinder to a good machine shop, they would be able to repair it. They might have to order a seal kit, but that's all in the willingness to do so... I know what it's like to deal with these *uckers that spend most of their time dealing with minimg companies. Coal has been mined here for over 300 years, until the mines closed about 5 years ago. Lot of those "important" businesses went under, and the remaining ones left with a little hustle do the small jobs.... So I know exactly what you're up against. They don't want to do the job, so it can't be done..... Cast a wider net, and find a better shop; perhaps a more hungry one.....
