I bought a fixxer upper R21 ( mostly needed a bunch 140+ rake teeth and a couple hydraulic hoses, and a lot of lubing etc ) that I was wondering how to slow down the hydraulic flow coming from the 4010 scv since they didn't have the flow control knobs.I know I could put a flow restrictor in place, I also thought of making a flip over bracket that would hold the second scv lever in the 'slow extend' position as well. Any other ideas before I reinvent the wheel on how to slow the hydraulic flow from a closed center hydraulic system thru those motors on the rake? Oh, and just for fun and because the rake was rusty in a lot of spots, we painted it glossy JD green with gloss jd yellow wheels. I'm going to get some John Deere stickers for it and a made up model number like 699 and slap on it just for fun. Vermeer makes the newer and bigger R23 rake for JD as the 705 so I figured what the heck. :) It actually looks so good the paint crew ( father in law, my dad, and my wife ), want me to pull the Vermeer 605 H in the barn, clean it up, strip the stickers off and paint it green as well - which I imagine we will do as well as its a bit rusty in spots and we have lots of gloss JD Green paint.
