Will a JD 530 Baler bale tight bales?

I'm looking to buy a baler and wanted to know if a JD 530 would bale tight bales. The older JD balers would not. Any improvements made on the 535 as compared to the 530? At what point did Deere make the design change to improve bale density?

Like TX jim said it will bale tight when adjusted correctly and the 535 is basically the same as 530 but it had the bale "Kicker" to keep form backing up and I saw some with two tieing arms instead of one. I dont know if this was optional on the 535, aftermarket or what. I had a neighbor that installed a second arm on a 430 jd (basically the same as the 530) and it worked great. I have put a lot of hours on a 430 and a 535. Bowth were good machiens. The bale kicker dosent work good at times on hills.

I run vermeer balers but they make good tight bales from what I seen. Several guys run 530 and 535 areound here, and most really like the balers.
I never run a JD round baler but know allot of people that like them and the bales look very nice. Several guys do some small custom work with them.

IMHO a 530 will make about as tight a bale as latter model JD balers if tension valve and tension cylinders work correctly. It also helps if tractor scv's dont leak. Newer model JD balers have twin tying arms,net wrap and different design starter roll than a 530.
