Putting that loader on a 50 with live hydraulics and power steering would be more practical. You could improve the B with a live hydraulic kit that fits between the distributor and the governor housing.

Set those rear wheels out to max width.

It should bolt right on, but remember.... No live power, you have to knock the tractor out of gear & push the clutch up to raise it if you stop.

Should fit. It's just getting it aligned into the channels and pins locked in and braces put on. The original JD hydraulic couplers can be a pain but can ditch those plumbing it up some new hose and pioneer type couplers. Original manual that shows how to connect the 45 series 1 loader is OM-C39-1057 operators manual. Later copy would be OMC13982 available from JD publications 800-522-7448 or http://techpubs.deere.com

Dunno,

The last one of those old loaders that I laid eyes on belonged to the neighbor and that was along about 1950. So, just can't offer anything as far as the mechanics of the old critter.

Mounting it isn't going to be too tough tho, just the two machine mounting bolts at each rear axle and the diagonal struts up front.

Just wondering. how could the last one you had seen been in 1950 when they came out about 1957. In the 40's and early 50's they were a different model and were a mechanical lift, not hydrolic. The orignal operators manual he refrences is a date of Oct. 1957.

Dunno,

Maybe the neighbor's loader wasn't a 45 then. All I remember was that it was about 1950 and he had it mounted on a styled A.
