Coop was a complete line maker and had several different model tractors and was headquarted in Shelbyville, Indiana, The Black Hawk line was a part of Coop and later Coop and Cockshutt were made all by Cockshutt but the Coop was sold mostly by the local Farmers Coop, hence the name. Coop,Cockshutt, Oliver, Avery and Moline all became part of White, So the Oliver board is also the Coop board and I think there should be a listing to the left side of the page in show guide that would give the address of the National Cockshutt Club and they would be the ones most able to tell you anything about Coop

I don"t think Coop manufactured a darn thing. They bought tractors and implements from whoever would sell them in quantity badged as Coop. Avery, Bradley, Blackhawk, Cockshutt and others supplied machines.

If I was interested enough I thimk I could get the address of the factory that made the old Coops, I am talking about 1946 and down. One model was a rebadged Silver King and a second model was a rebadged Avery but they made most of the others. I slightly know some of the best Coop authorities in the country.

Until I am interested enough to read otherwise, I'll stick with what I think I know. If you have any hard info to post, start a new thread so others can read it.
