Van Brunt Model SS help needed

I purchased a Van Brunt grain drill and was told it was a model SS. When I located a manual for the SS (Dir 76) it showed a 4 position feed lever on each side of the grain feed wheel. My unit only has 2 positions. Other than that, it appears the same. I know I do not have a model EE (that model uses a feed gate). Does anyone know what model I have or what DIR I need for the year model of SS I actually have? Alternately, can anyone tell me which of the 4 positions the SS manual shows I can equate with the 2 positions my unit has? Thanks for your help.

I'm not really familar with the SS drill. Is that one with galvanized box or old wood one? In a JD publications catalog they show DIR76 was for SS (Y258 Feed Wheel type). It also shows for SS a DIR22 but doesn't list a parts catalog at all fo the SS. You might also contact JD publications at 800-522-7448.

Thanks GleninTX. It does have the galvanized box. I went to the JD site after having browsed this site for the model B. I now think that I do indeed have a model SS and that Dir 22 is the publication I want. Can anyone confirm that Dir 22 has a 2 position feed lever on the feed wheel?

I didn't think their publications site would list anything for a SS but apparently there are more manuals and you you should have a drill with the double run style feed cups. This is list from JD site:
Operator's Manuals SS : DIR/Instructions for ''''SS'''' Model Double Run Feed Grain Drill - 8 In. Spaced Drill DIR78A English $20.00 DIR/Instructions for Van Brunt Double-Run Feed Steel Box Grain Drills - Model SS DIR76 English $20.00

DIR/Instructions for Model ''''SS'''' Double Run Feed Grain Drills - 8 In. Spaced Drill Chart DIR92A English $20.00 DIR/Instructions for Chart for ''''SS'''' Model Double Run Feed Grain Drills - 16 In. Spaced Drill DIR93C English $20.00

DIR/Instructions for Van Brunt Double-Run Feed Steel Box Grain Drills - ''''SS'''' Model DIR22 English $20.00 Chart for ''''SS'''' Model Double-Run Feed Grain Drills - 10 In. Spaced Drills DIR79C English $20.00
