I found this picture in the Gallery. I just found a Case Manure spreader almost just like this, only in a lot worse shape(fencerow special). The wheels are a little different, and of course the floor is rotted out. Mechanically it looks to be all there and in fixable condition. Any idea what this MIGHT be worth. I know this is a loaded question, but I've never seen a Case spreader before, and this area(upstate SC) is not overrun with Case equipment.

Thanks for any info and help.

I sold one recently which had been totally refurbished, but was missing the name and the chain guard on the left. Went for $300, but comments after were "way too cheap", "bargain", etc. But then there 12 other spreaders there- - -.

I paid $102 for the one I got off Ebay. It looks like that except it has rusty silver paint. It was missing a bolt/pin and spring for the drive mechanism that moves the apron chain. It's also missing the chain that drives the rear set of beaters and the rear beater has 1 of the seven blades missing/broken.

The wood floor is still solid and the 12 ply tires are good.

I figure a coat of paint, $45 worth of hardware (chain, bolt, and a spring) it'll be field ready. I don't think one "blade" missing will be an issue.

I paid $380 for my other spreader, an international #200. It came from Ebay, and it cost me another $45 - $50 for the 2 dozen or so links that I had to replace to fix the apron chain. (I bought it that way.. previous owners let manure freeze in it then tried to empty... )

I intend to sell one or the other when I get the Case unit done. Whichever fits in the shed in the least amount of space is keeper...

Where I'm at, the smaller IH 100's will bring $400 and the New Idea's after refurbishment fetch $750 - $1000. I've been at a few auctions where ones with rotten floors still bring $200 or more depending on the crowd. Horse county...

Case T6. I gave $400 for one with no paint, a couple holes in the floor, but in otherwise useable shape. I've been told that was wayyyyy too much, but that's what he wanted for it and that's what he got. Shouldn't take much to buy the one you describe. I've used mine for about 4 years and have had only minor trouble. E-bay has manuals for it every now and then.
