Leroy, do you have a picture of the #902 gear? I would like to see a picture of one.

No I don't have a picture of it. To describe it some the axles are made with the same type of casting as the old 1 piece car and truck front axles and the hubs are 16" in diameter with 5 5/8" lugs and had 17" rims with angle iron pieces welded at 5 different places drilled for the lug bolts. When I got mine a few year ago it was in a junk yard all froze up on the steering and the rims rusted out. Have not had time to get around to restoring it yet. Now some of the earlier 902 gears had the rims fastened on with set screws instead of lug bolts. I found a parts book a few year ago and that is how I identified mine but the book is now misplaced.

On John Deere running gears they made an 802 that is a steel wheeled gear, then the rubber tired gears were a 902 fron the 36-37 area, then the 951 starting in 1938 to about 41, then the 952 and 953 and 963 and 943 gears and Deere far as I know never made the bed. The 902 gear I have only seen 2 and I own one of them, the 951 gear I think I have seen about 3 of them while there are a lot of the 952 & 953 & 963 gears around, then the newer gears had a 4 diget number

Not sure what you are talking about but I realized that I said hay rack instead of hay rake. Sorry for the confusion.

Didn't know JD made an 851 hay rack.

Parts for an 851 hay RAKE can be had but are getting hard to find. What are you looking for?

Jim
