i'm trying to find information for a bale accumulator i can pull behind my small square baler. all the ones i'm finding on the internet are on wheels and need hydraulics. the ones around here just drag on the ground and a gate trips open to let the bales out. i'm not looking to used it with a bale stacker, i'm just tired of driving from bale to bale to pick them up.

thanks darren

Those are give away in our area if they are not cut into scrap. If this is what I think it is the bales drag on the ground on small rods then are dumped with a trip rope. No one used them as they drug to much of the bale off.

You may want to look at www.haymaster.biz. They make the drag type accumulator. I called them and got my name put on a list to let me know if they came across any used accumulators. I finally got a call from a rep that had located a 05 accumulator. I bought it for $4000. I already had their grapple. The 05 accumulator I got looked like new. The gentlemen that had it before me wanted a 06 model because it was suppose to handle hilly areas better than the 05 models. Some other drag type accumulators are www.agwaymfg.com and www.raftermequipment.com.

what exactly is a stucker? i tried looking for one on the internet but couldn't find anything. what i'm calling an accumulator looks to be just a metal sled but doesn't have any wheels but i've never seen one up close.
thanks darren

You might look at what we called a "stucker" popular a few years ago. Puts 6 0r 7 bales in a pirimid and then trips. No power required. Just right to pickup with a loader. Not all that expensive.

I would look at a bale wagon instead. The bales are pushed up a ramp into the wagon by the baler. They can hold 50 or so bales and dump them all at once.
