Looking at a 5540 round baler. I have never used a round baler before and am wondering if this is a decent baler. I would like to make 4x4 bales. Is this difficult to do with a baler that is larger than 4x4. Is this a closed throat baler and if so how does that affect its performance. It has the gathering wheels and looks to be in good shape. What should I look for when I check this baler over.

Thanks
Glen

Have you used it for corn stalks. This will be the main use for this baler.

Thanks
