I have a McCormick 100 ground drive manure spreader
looking for tires. They 5.00/5.50 X 16.00 and the side ways are rotted. Need a source in N.E. Ohio.
Thanks

Andy, you might give Miller Tire a call at 1-800-621-1955 and they are located in Wauseon, Ohio, which is in the NW corner of Ohio. They are usually at several tractor shows every year and deliver to those shows. They should be able to help you or point you in the right direction. They specialize in antique farm tires. Hope this helps, Hal

John,

I need a narrow tire for the rims and there is not
alot of clearance between the tire and the chain drive guard. I already thought about that.

Thanks anyway

I just got two new ones from the local co op. Try the obvious places first. I was able to find a 4.00 x 9 tire and tube there also for an old JD number 5 mower that other place were asking 50 bucks for, mounted with a new tube for 25.
Just a thought.
Walk in peace

i have a couple of tractors that i run on the road quite a bit and i use old 16 inch truck tires on them. they last longer than implement tires and if you can find used ones they are cheap enough. especially if you do a lot of bushhogging around stobs and thorns. i would think that a mud and snow tire might work on your spreader. i have seen where a guy took old wheel weights off of a turning plow and bolted them on the rims for additional weight and traction.
