I saw a 336 sell yesterday with thrower in decent shape but probably not had the best of service and cleanings over the years. I know what it brought but I would like to here some of your answers before I tell. I thought the price was out of range but I'm curious.

I am selling mine (336) with a 30 kicker for 4k. I had it in the shop 2 years ago for timing new parts etc. It never 99% of the time misses a bale. Had a dealership offer me 4500 for trade in but that was to get me into a more expensive one. I also have 24T that has been gone through and it never misses either. I think you get what you pay for. A 1k or 2k baler might need 2k worth of parts and labor.

Not sure about the 336, but I bought a 346 about 18 months ago for $1,000. just baler no kicker.
It needed a paint job etc but hardly ever misses a tying a bale. Painted it last winter and looks great now. I knew the guy that ran it and knew it was good. The one he kept ( another 346)looked worse than this one, but it never missed a bale.

should have been in 3500 to 5000 range. They have come up in value. Any old old unit will sell in 1000 to 1200 range. I rememeber years back I bought several old 14t for 25 to 50 dollars and parted them out.

$3500-$4500 depending on how it looked.

Local JD dealer has been trying to get me to trade mine in for a while, his last offer was $4300, no kicker. Mines never been cleaned, but has been greased and oiled regularly, but its got well over several hundred thousand bales through it.

I hadn't seen any sell so $4500 for that one wasn't too out of range. There aren't that many small squares being made in our area so that really surprised me. This one really only ever ran straw as they finished a lot of hogs. It was straight but well used and the unfinished bales from last season were still in the chamber. It seemed like a lot at the time. Thanks.
