I bought a heavy 8 ft Kewanee blade for my Ford 4000su. I am having problems with the blade bouncing across the driveway. I have never had one want to hop as bad as this blade. Please give some suggestions.
Thanks
Chris

Also, make sure that the tractor's hitch is on position control and not draft control mode. If it's in draft, it's going to react to everything you hook, or load that's added. It's impossible to control.... Pull the draft lever up.

I would try shorting the toplink so the blade isn't tring to cut as much gravel but if you hit a big rock its going to hop up. Maybe slow down to another gear. I have better luck going slow then fast with a 3 point blade.

adjust your top link
I believe that making it longer will work may be wrong and it needs to be shorter. Bottom line is there is no down pressure and the blade is digging in catching and then jumping need to change the angle of attack so the blade slides instead of digging in

turn the blade around so you are pulling it backwards. it will move snow as good and eliminate most of the hopping.

If you have them hang some suit case weights on the blade, the weight will help hold it down. I always keep 6 of them on my blade and helps keep the tires from spinning when I use the loader
