Hi , I guess no-one on the Oliver board nows anything about the large wheel weights listed in the parts book for a 55 series tractor . Does anyone here know how common they are ? My guess is since they were 880lbs of iron they have mostly been sent to china . The cost to buy them now would be prohibitive . It would be nice to have a set or two so I could drain the fluid out of my tires and fix the rims before they get to bad . If they went for less than 15 cents a pound . ...Randy

Randy I have not looked, but for wich 55 series? They had some weights like that for the duals on the 20 & 2150 tractors, probably on the 2255 as well. We had a 2050 around(old company demonstrator) and this is 30 plus years ago with those big weights and all 4 rears were 20.8 X 38. At that time it game meaning to the phrase "When the rubber meets the road" J.

Hi John , 159-893-A is the part # and it's out of the 1755 parts book pages 179 - 180 . I was just curious . It's not like I could afford them anyway at 880lbs each . Not to mention getting them mounted . But as I was looking closer at the parts book I noticed that they were for wheatlands not rc's . My mistake . The regular weights are 145lbs each for the rc's . ...Randy

Randy, just instead of useing CACL in the tire use wiper fluid in them. Rims don't rust and you still have the weight you need. Costs a little more up front to fill them but in the long run it saves $$ on replaceing rims from rusting away. Wheel weights are ok but to me there not worht the back pain to get them bolted on plus fluid works better then the wheel weights do because they put the weight right on the tire tread not on the tractor and the air in the tires
