I can't find any information on Kewanee equipment. They used to sell most of the grain augers in our area. Did they go out of business, or were they bought by anuther company?

I appreciate all of the information. Looks like a sad end to a company that produced good equipment.

Kewanee quite building products in 1992. Parts are being supplied through Bush Hog. They were both owned by the same company (Allied Products) and now owned by CC. Industries.

Net info in my notes matches Gerald J"s SEC filings: Kewanee absorbed by Allied, who also had Bush Hog. When Allied slimmed down Kewanee seems to disappear, but if there"s something saying Bush Hog took over Kewanee, either while Bush Hog part of Allied or when or after Allied sold Bush Hog to CC Industries, you might try checking with Bush Hog. Good luck.

I've been searching the internet. This is what I found:

Allied Products owned Bushhog.

Allied Products Bought White, New Idea, and Kewanee in the early 1980s.

In 1993 Allied sold White-New Idea to Agco and included lease of the factory at Kewanee, Illinois to Agco. But Allied closed and liquidated many divisions including Kewanee just before they sold White-New Idea to Agco.

So Kewanee is no more, not even as a vestigal division of some other company.

All of this came from SEC filings.

I was looking for them a couple years ago. Found info stating they were bought out by Bushhog. They sure fell of the face of the earth.

Don't know, but probably were bought out. Kewanee used to be a major player around here also.
