JD No8 sickle mower colors

I have a JD #8 sickle bar mower and want to paint it up and was wondering what color it was. I know it was green and yellow but I was wondering about the bar, was it black?

I have a No 9 and I'm pretty sure it's all green except for the yellow lettering and yellow grass board. Of course there isn't much paint left on the sickle bar so maybe I'm just dreaming.

I believe that the sickle bar should be black. i looked but did not have any color literature on the number 8. Mike spoerl
