Rear blade slope

I use a old JD 6'rear blade on my 8N. When the blade is in the air I can rock one side up and down about 6 inches due to slop in the pivot mount. I use it for snow and to blade gravel drives and was wondering if getting the play out of it would be better or if the play makes it float over ground like it should. It seems to work OK but is that slop hurting me or is it good?

Every single one I have ever owned would do that. Didn't matter how old or how new it was it still did that. I do have one that is solid so it doesn't turn and when I used it that thing would jump all over the place. Its ben sitting in a weed pile now for at least 15 years. I picked up a very heavy duty one so that poor old thing just sits there and probably will for ever unless I figure out I need to turn it into something else that is
