We have a half home made half factory made bush Hog on the farm and i was wondering if a pto off a post hole digger will work on the bush hog. All the ends match on the pto shaft its self to the bush hog.

If the post hole digger is good quality I wouldnt worry about it. Liek waht was said before a bush hog takes a beating, well it doesnt until you hit a rock or a stump or bottom it out on a hump. Just look at the shaft you want to use, if its really thin and cheap looking then dont use it.

If the U-joints are the same series and the telescoping drive shaft are the same gauge of steel yes it will work.

Make sure the shaft is the right length also.

If the telescope is to short it could twist off without enough of one shaft inside the other.

someone else might tell u something else, but a bush hog takes a beating, so that shaft will need to be tough, and a post hole digger shaft aint that big, well the one i got aint.. so i would say no, but u can try it.
